Two friends had babies due this month, so have been busy finishing these just in time. Especially the blanket when baby C came 3 weeks early!
My reflections on the journey with my family and the things I enjoy. Thanks for joining me - its always great to have company for the journey.

River Roch opening
There are roadworks galore at the moment in Rochdale - some of these are due to plans to open up the River Roch in the town centre which is set for March 2016.
As part of this there have been some workshops organised and I attended a knitting workshop last week where Alison shared her plans for a hanging/banner to be made, to hang off the newly revealed bridge, depicting all the wildlife found in and around the river. She had a number of knitting and crochet patterns, so I set off with a crocheted fish. I was quite pleased with how it turned out. The lady next to me opted to make a seahorse?! Since then I have made a few more crocheted fish in different colours and also tried a knitted one.
It will be interesting to see how the finished hanging turns out.

Daisy chain
Now I've finished all the wedding crochet I decided to make a little treat for my daughter. We had a go at making daisy chains in the summer but they don't last very long so here is my crocheted version.
I saw the idea on pinterest here but liked this pattern for the daisies.
Here is my finished daisy chain:

Wedding Crochet
Over the last couple of months I have been busy helping my friend with some wedding crochet invitations for her wedding in August. I have completed 10 hearts but fortunately she crochets faster than me and has more crochet time so between us and another crocheting friend we have finally managed to make enough to send the invitations out.
Here is one I've crocheted - it was an interesting pattern to follow, but needed some concentration as every row was different
and here is my invitation to the wedding ;)
More crocheted decorations planned - watch this space!

Crochet presents
Been enjoying doing some small crochet projects for presents and they have been well received.
Here is a bookmark I made for a friends birthday.
Some more of these on the way - I have quite a few December birthdays!
My daughter was invited to a Frozen party last weekend. She hasn't seen the film yet but I found
this pattern on pinterest and it was a really quick project for the birthday girl.
think I will have to crochet another one up for my daughter too!
Here is a preview of my next project for my son - you might need your sunglasses. He likes these neon colours. Lots of ends to sew in yet - all will be revealed soon!
